This scan will check the presence and location of the pregnancy, the number of sacs and fetuses and the presence of a fetal heartbeat(s).

Appointment Details
- Duration: 15 minute appointment time, includes the consultation and scan
- Performed by NHS trained and HCPC registered sonographers
- Same day scan results with guidance on further follow up where required
How To Prepare
- Full bladder required - please drink 1 pint of water (500 ml) at least 1 hour before the scan and do not empty bladder during this time
- In some instances, a transvaginal scan may be required to obtain a clear of baby. This will be offered free of charge if needed.
