Ths purpose of this scan is to date the pregnancy based on the size of baby. During this scan we will be able to provide an estimated due date.
What's Included
- Get an estimated due date
- Check your baby’s basic anatomy, including the head, arms, legs, bladder, and stomach
- Take a look at your pelvic area, including the ovaries, uterus, and surrounding structures
- Receive a full scan report
- Includes two printed scan images to take home
Appointment Details
- Duration: 15 minute appointment time, includes the consultation and scan
- Performed by NHS trained and HCPC registered sonographers
- Same day scan results with guidance on further follow up where required
How To Prepare
- Full bladder required - please drink 1 pint of water (500 ml) at least 1 hour before the scan and do not empty bladder during this time.
- In some instances, a transvaginal scan may be required to obtain a clear of baby. This will be offered free of charge if needed.
